BEGA Recognised Among Lithuania’s Export Leaders for Strengthening International Supply Chains
Klaipėda Stevedoring Company BEGA has been recognised among Lithuania’s export leaders, receiving an award in the large enterprise category at the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists’ annual “Lithuanian Exporter of the Year 2025” awards. The company was honoured for its significant contribution to the competitiveness of Lithuanian exporters and for ensuring the efficient flow of cargo to international markets.
This year marked the 25th edition of the awards, during which 12 companies across three business-size categories were recognised as Lithuania’s export leaders. Among the winners in the large enterprise category was BEGA, a Klaipėda Port-based company providing integrated port handling and logistics services for Lithuanian agricultural and grain exporters, as well as for producers in the fertiliser, cement and other industrial sectors.
The company ensures not only the efficient export of Lithuanian products through the Port of Klaipėda, but also the import of raw materials required for manufacturing processes, thereby strengthening the entire supply chain ecosystem. BEGA’s operations include cargo handling at specialised terminals, cargo accumulation, storage, sorting and a wide range of integrated logistics solutions tailored to exporters’ needs.
According to the company, the recognition highlights the increasingly important role of efficient logistics infrastructure in maintaining the competitiveness of Lithuanian manufacturers and exporters in global markets.
The award-winning companies were congratulated by Lithuania’s Minister of Finance, Kristupas Vaitiekūnas, and Minister of Transport and Communications, Juras Taminskas. The Minister of Finance emphasised that Lithuanian industry remains one of the key pillars of the country’s economic growth despite geopolitical and economic challenges, while the Minister of Transport and Communications highlighted the critical role of logistics, transport and infrastructure solutions in supporting exporters’ competitiveness.

The topics of exports, geopolitics and economic resilience were also extensively discussed during the annual Lithuanian Industry Conference, particularly in the panel discussion “From the Strait of Hormuz to the Baltic Shores: How Geopolitics Is Rewriting Our Economy.” Among the participants was Laimonas Rimkus, CEO of Klaipėda Stevedoring Company BEGA and President of the Lithuanian Stevedoring Companies Association, who joined ministers and other experts in discussing the growing impact of geopolitical uncertainty, supply chain disruptions and infrastructure resilience on Lithuania’s economy and export sector.
BEGA is one of the largest stevedoring and logistics companies operating at the Port of Klaipėda, providing integrated supply chain solutions and comprehensive logistics services for both Lithuanian and international clients.
